I finally had a chance to play with Animoto! It was frustrating to me that you can't preview the video without publishing it. Was I missing something? Well, those of you from our past classes may get a kick out of the topic...
Presenting: The Life Cycle of a Pumpkin!
I chose the Life Cycle of a Pumpkin because it is a a topic that we cover in great depth in the beginning of the school year. This will definitely be a good teaching tool for me to use in October and November both as a hook or even a review. It will help me to achieve the NETS standard for teachers as I facilitate learning experiences through technology. Does anyone have any ideas of a follow up for students to do after viewing the Animoto?
The Pumpkin topic is back! This is a great way to incorporate technology into your lessons on pumpkins! You have created something that will catch their attention and help them engage in conversations on what happens during the different stages. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteGreat animoto Rachel! I was so interested in reading each slide and looking at the pictures. The students will love it! I love how animatos can be used to how life cycles! And of course, who would forget the pumpkin topic! :)
ReplyDeleteReally nice job! You used such great visuals and it was timed very well. Separating the pics and making them look like parts of a puzzle made the Animoto even more entertaining. The addition of the different uses of pumpkins was a nice touch and a perfect connection to the students' life.
ReplyDeleteGreat Job!!! The students next year will really enjoy this Animoto during your unit. It is something your will be able to use over and over. Great pictures and music. You might want to add picks of your friends in the classroom investigating the pumpkin. Just a suggestion.
ReplyDeleteI loved this! I loved the multiple images per pumpkin stage.Great Job!
ReplyDeleteI like how you used the multiple pictures
